Over the past three days we've pushed out updates for all our current themes on the market. This has brought the total count of icons up over 620+ included! And we've got over 100 more coming soon in the next update that we are pushing out.

I thought I'd take a quick minute to outline the update plan. This week was the first round of updates, which added just under one hundred icons to the already teaming icon set we current offer. In 2-3 weeks we'll be releasing an additional update which has the rest of the newly minted icons.

Right after that update, within the next week, I'll be pushing out the final update in this round which will switch over 50 of the misc. icons to auto-themed. At the same time, I'll be taking a look at the current state of device overlays and make sure that we're covering all the stock system apps for all the different phone skins.

I know that these updates don't nearly cover all the apps that people use and as always, please please please send emails with the missing apps so we know which ones to add to Tha Phlash's queue. Thanks!

Awhile ago, Kellex had messaged me saying that he loved all the walls I had been doing for Liberty and that if I ever was in the mood, he would also love for some wallpapers for Droid Life. I told him I'd definitely get around to it at some point and that was the end of it.

Fast forward to now, at least two months later, and I've finally gotten around to it. I spent a good portion of yesterday staring at pink, lots and lots of pink. I think it was worth it, but I'll let you all be the judge. I've put the wallpapers onto the market as galleries, with one for phones and the other for tablets. Since the tablet ones were so large, I've also chopped them to my default resolution (1920x1200) and placed them in a gallery here as well. So now you can have pink love on your phone and desktop!

Well, do you know? I'll tell you. It's the new Tron series of ADW Themes that were sent to the market a few days ago! I'm not sure why I waited this long to post about it, but I did. You can find them by clicking the color of your choice: Blue, Green and Red.

Another amazing thing that happened is I focused real, real hard and managed to push the new splash page functionality into all the more recent themes that I've released. I'll probably never place it in Gingerbread as that would be a waste of my time. The DarkEdge and AP7 themes don't have it yet because all of those really need to be revisited and rejuvenated. I know I wrote that I had started to work on a new icon base, but I've been bogged down with other projects.

In other news, Google IO is currently occurring and they dropped the news about ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) which will be the next version of Android coming in Q4 of 2011. The platform logo is a nice 3D perspective of our favorite Bugdroid, but deliciously rendered as the food product the next release is named after. Not to rest on his fingers, @thaphlash has studied and emulated the look all in one day! I'm going to be expediting an ADW Theme based on this design over the week. Expect that soon. Tootles!

Yep, I have commenced work on my new icon base which will be utilized for both kovicon and metro style icon sets (re: DarkEdge & AndroidPhone7). I'm not really giving myself a deadline for anything, so there is unfortunately no time frame to relay. I'll just keep pushing the whole 'check back soon' rhetoric and that should be enough to make myself content. I've got a good chunk done already, so if I can commit to completing a couple each day... well progress will be made.

As for some new ADWThemes, I'm just waiting on @thaphlash to get me some of the marketing materials. Once I've got those in-hand, I should be able to push out the apks in a very short amount of time. I've already made my decision on which of his icon sets to convert next and I'm SUPER PUMPED to get to work on them.

I did some tinkering today and made some alterations to the website. I've started adding the wallpapers from the themes into the gallery. Some people have wanted the ability to have them on their sdcards and this will provide a way until that functonality can be added into ADWThemes. One of these days I'll get around to actually putting up product pages for the themes. That may have to wait till a day filled with a large amount of motivation, lol.

A couple more themes are in progress right now. And there's a couple more icon sets of @thaphlash that I'd like to work with as well. So I'd say we'll see another 6 themes or so in the market sooner or later. I would love to say more about another potential area of the market that we'll be invading soon, but I'd rather wait till we have something more substantial before shouting it all over the web.

I am still planning on re-visiting AP7 and kovicons (DarkEdge too!) but that is still down the timeline. Perhaps I should bump that up to the front of the line? I keep allowing it to fall to the wayside. I'm also hoping to add a bit more functionality into ADW Themes soon with some edits to ADW that will allow us outside access. It's under development and hopefully we can have some results soon. I'm out!
